A little late again on this one, but the Friday after Lena's birthday I took the day off from work and we traveled up to the NEW Zoo outside of Green Bay. It's a cute, little zoo, and certainly was enough for a morning trip with Lena.
The best part about this particular zoo is being able to feed the giraffes. There was a mom and a baby giraffe. As you can see from the picture and video below, Lena refused to feed them.

Look at that tongue and Lena recoiling in horror.
Despite Lena's fears, she still talks about it. "Mommy, Daddy, Giraffe, crackers."

Lena's favorite animal was the otter. We sat and watched it for several minutes jump in and out of the water and swim. When we finally pulled Lena away, she cried (until she saw the next animal).

Here's Lena looking at a mom and baby moose (in the middle of the picture behind the fence).

And finally, Lena and Daddy on their way out of the zoo. We had a blast and plan on buying a season pass next year.
