Mangum Reunion 2010 Part 1: Sea World

Mangum U!!!!!!!!!!!

Every two years the Mangum family does a reunion. We started the tradition in the summer of 2002 with a trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. That has been followed by Orlando (2004), Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. (2006) and Boston (2008). If you're really bored, you can see our blog posts regarding the 2008 reunion (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3).

Last month we rented a house and most of the extended Mangum family met in San Antonio. It was an awesome time. Usually I do these posts chronologically, but this time I'm doing it by event/activity. Why? Because it's my freakin' blog!

We spent parts of three days at Sea World San Antonio. The kids loved it. We saw all the animals, rode rides, saw the shows. We didn't miss a thing.

No trip to Sea World is complete without seeing Shamu.

Clare and Dad coming out of one of the Shamu shows. Clare loved the shows and clapped constantly.

Dede (Adam's dad) raced Lena around park in his motorized little cart. Lena always won.

Here are some of the cousins. From the left: Clare, Haley, Lena, Jake, Max and Mallory. The cousins had a blast throughout the whole week. Lena followed 7 year old Haley around all over the place. Haley has four brothers, so I think she enjoyed having her girl cousins around.

Lena loved the penguin house and begged to have her picture taken.

Poor Clare gets most of her pictures taken in a stroller. Don't worry kid; Jane will be taking your stroller picture spot soon enough.

Feeding the dolphins was one of the coolest things. Lena absolutely loved it and did it twice, once with Mom and once with Dad. Being that close to dolphins was awesome.
Sea World was really a cool experience. I wasn't sure if Clare and Lena would enjoy it as much as they did, but they had a great time. What a fantastic time
