Celebrating Clare: 18 months

Clare was 18 months on July 8. So we're a few weeks behind because of vacation and the surprise arrival of Jane. So we take a break from a regularly-schedule Jane update to provide the following update on our favorite little Clare.

So, here are some of Clare's many words, and how they work in her crazy little life.

All gone. Cereal. Spoon. Bottle. Bar (aka granola bar). Melon. Cracker. Chips/ Apple. Pizza. Juice. Water. Gogurt (aka Yogurt). Clare is a picky eater, but she knows what she likes. Her diet mainly consists of yogurt, fruit and pizza.

Diaper. Poop. Potty. Clare is showing a lot more interest in potty training at an earlier age than Lena did. She will sometimes even tell you when it's time for a change, and has sat on the potty a time or two.

Belly. Bum. Knees. Toes. Eyes. Nose. She loves pointing out her body parts (and those of others). She will often raise her shirt and show off her belly. Nose was one of her first words.

Mama. Dada. Lena. Grammy. Clare has, in the last couple of weeks, really gotten good at saying Lena's name and follows her around. She also loves pointing to family pictures and pointing out Mama, Dada and Lena.

Song. Dance. Clare loves to dance, usually to rock music. She plays a mean air guitar and air drums. She also loves to make up her own songs and sings loud and clear.

Side (aka outside). Bubbles. Man (aka Batman). Clare loves playing outside, and if she even looks outside she's likely to point and say, "Side?" And likely she'll want to blow bubbles once you get outside.

Clare is getting so big, and now she's even a big sister, even though I don't think she really gets that yet. We love you Clare!
