More Wisconsin Summer Fun

After two weeks of someone being sick, last week was a really nice week, both for health and the weather.

On Thursday Kathleen and Lena went with our friend Kelly King and her three kids to a park in Neenah next to the library. They have live music, food, and events every week there. But as you can see here, Lena's favorite activity was running through the water fountain, right in the middle of the action. She was wary at first, but ended up having a lot of fun.

Then on Saturday we went to one of our favorite events, the weekly Appleton Farmer's Market. We usually come back with some goodies (this week it was blueberries, raspberries, zuccini, cucumber, and creamed honey), as well as eating a little while we're there. Here's Kathleen and Lena enjoying some fresh corn. Lena ate almost a whole cup.

As we were walking back from the car, Lena had our keys and started to try and open every car we passed, much to the comedic entertainment of several people who passed us on our slow way back to the car.

Then we finished Saturday (after Daddy mowed the lawn) with some fun in the kiddie pool. After a short water fight (Daddy won), Dad took a nice 'dip' in the pool as Lena pored freezing water all over him.

It was a fantastic week, the epitome of why we love Summers in Wisconsin.
