The Dells, Part 2

Sunday we went on a duck boat tour of the Wisconsin River. It was a lot of fun.

Lena giving us a quizzical look.

Clare was obviously thrilled on the duck boat.

The beautiful rock formations along the Wisconsin River.

On Monday we went to the Cave of the Mounds. It was really cool.

Kathleen and Lena doing a little 'mining.' The gift store at the cave of the mounds sold these little bags of sand with cool rocks inside. You then could put it in the water and get your rocks. Really cool. Lena had a blast. Clare's in the background eating her sweater.

Here's a view inside the Cave of the Mounds. The formations are awesome. Unfortunately our camera battery died during the tour, so we missed some of the coolest stuff.

We didn't take many pictures the rest of the week, but we spent a day at the Kalahari waterpark which was awesome. We were one of like 7 families in the total park. One time around the lazy river, we were the only people we saw. There were also no lines for the 'big people' waterslides for Kathleen and I. It was fun.

We also spent a day at an amusement place, with indoor rides, bowling and games. Again, no one was there, so frequently we were the only people on the rides, including doing go karts by ourselves. Obviously going to the Dells in October is a good time to go to avoid the crowds.
