A couple of weeks ago in church, I was desperately trying to keep Lena quiet. She doesn't really get the concept of whispering, and even if she gets it for a second, her attention will quickly shift, and she'll start talking loudly again.
So during the sacrament as the young men passed the bread and water, I told Lena that this was time to think about Jesus. She asked, "Where Jesus go?" I asked her where she thought he went. She said: "The temple." I was very pleased and impressed as her father.
Then her face looked puzzled for a minute, and then she turned back to me and said very loudly: "Where'd Santa go?"
So we might need to work on the relative importance of Jesus and Santa.
