Fun with the Olympics

We absolutely love the Olympics. Our favorite sports include gymnastics, swimming, beach volleyball, indoor volleyball, water polo and handball. Pretty much whatever is on TV.

Lena is definitely the biggest Olympic fan among the girls. Her favorite sport is definitely water polo. She watches matches intently, and listeners to the announcers and follows what they say. She probably knows more about water polo than any other sport. Her enthusiasm for that sport, and others, has been fun to watch.

We started with an Olympic party the night of the Opening Ceremonies. Kathleen put together a special collection of Olympic-themed food, including lots of circle foods. Adam added Golden Oreos.

Our Olympic spread, including the watermelon Olympic rings

Lena's rooting for Great Britain?
No, Lena is not showing her loyalty to the crown in the picture above. In school this year, they learned about the Olympics and Lena won a British flag they made to bring home. Extremely fitting with the Games in London.

Our family is absolutely loving the Olympics, and we'll miss them when the Games are gone. Go USA!
