Celebrating Jane

We celebrated Jane's birthday with a beach theme with plans on taking the family to the beach at Lake Elmo, which is only a few miles from our house. We do live in the Land of 10,000 Lakes after all.

Kathleen decorated the house the night before, including Jane's doorway and the dinning room.

Jane comes out of her room on her birthday.

Balloons between the kitchen and dinning room.

Beach theme decorations and breakfast.

That was followed by a awesome breakfast of breakfast-ka-bobs (strawberries, bananas and donut holes) and Greek yogurt.

Lena and Jane enjoy the breakfast ka-bobs.
That night we did dinner, spaghetti and meatballs, followed by presents.

The sandcastle 'cake', with cupcake towers, Swedish Fish, and lifesavers.

Jane with her Merida doll -- almost as big as she is.
Unfortunately the beach was not in the cards this week. We had a lot of much-needed rain, and then Jane got sick with a 103 degree fever this weekend (not the best birthday gift ever, certainly). But she had a great birthday, celebrating it with her Mom, Dad, and her two best friends, Lena and Clare.

The three girls enjoy a birthday breakfast.
