Bear Lake

This is my Dad. My kids call him Babbo. He is like Superman and a teddy bear all rolled up into one. He took us to the beach - the only beach left on all Bear Lake b/c the water is so high that most of the beaches are covered with water. We had so much fun. Lena loved driving the boat on Babbo's lap. She was actually an okay driver - especially compared to her younger cousin who almost tipped us over multiple times. It was a fun ride. She also had fun making a sand castle and decorating it with shells we found on the beach.

Clare did NOT like the sand. Sand in shoes is really not a pleasant feeling. The rest of us just deal with it, but who really likes it? Well, Clare did not deal with it at all - just screaming. Luckily she has some fantastic uncles and aunts (especially Uncle Dan and Aunt Tara) who took her on the tube out into the lake - which she LOVED!! She sat on the boat but never actually took a ride. Love that Clare.

We had quite a trek to the boat through the reads and mud. Some of us got ferried out on the tube and others walked. We had so much fun. Lena took two rides on the tube behind the boat. She had so much fun. She learned all the signs for faster, slower, and stop.

Jane enjoyed a leisurely day at the beach. She loves being held by her Aunt Kara. You can tell they are both enjoying the cuddle time. She spent some time napping in her bed too. She was a trooper. She went home early with Clare and Daddy while we enjoyed some more time on the beach.

We ate burgers, boated, played frisbee, tried not to get sunburned (some more successful than others), and enjoyed each other.
Thanks Babbo for taking us to the beach.

So sad about the beaches, that's why we haven't made more trips up to the cabin yet.

Wow! Kathleen looks JUST like her sister. I was wondering how her hair grew so long that fast. :)
We all miss you guys already. We will need your new address when you get one because Audrey is already writing notes to Lena. So cute!
