Jane had her 6-month check-up at the Children's Hospital today, returning to the place where she spent her first five weeks. We met with a NICU nurse and two therapists who checked out Jane's development.
The good news is that everything checked out great. She should be 3 1/2 months old, and they gauge her development based on that. She is doing just about everything a 3-4 month old baby should do.
She weighed in at 10 lbs and 8 oz, almost 8 lbs bigger than her birth rate. That's a whole baby! While she's still a little underweight, her length and her head size (of course, she's a Mangum) are above average.
Finally, here's a video of Little Jane trying to talk. Background vocals are provided by Clare Bear.
