We read the Christmas story together at our house during the day. We use these really awesome albums that Adam's mom (aka Mimi) gave us. It's a blend of traditional scripture, Christmas hymns, and pictures, which is perfect for our girls. Above is Kathleen and Clare reading the story of Christ's birth.After spending the morning and afternoon at home, we went over to the house of Jason and April Foreman, good friends who invited us (and three other families) over for Christmas Eve. The five families are all in our congregation at church, and none of us have family in the area. There were 10 adults and 14 children (I think, hard to keep track). Awesome, fun craziness.

One of the greatest things about these parties is the fact that the kids entertain each other, leaving the adults time to actually have conversations filled with talk of toys and children's shows, and constant questions of why; every parent needs a break. Also, Kelly King (above) and other moms held Jane, which gave us a break as well.

Jane had a great time and was rockin' the mohawk.After the party, we cruised around the Foreman's neighborhood and then our own neighborhood in order to see some Christmas lights. Lena can not get enough of Christmas lights. Her amazement makes this season even more special.
After we got home, we hung the stockings with care.
